Think it's like the Wednesday or Friday of the first week we're back. You get to sit through nearly a whole week of a year before you find out if your even in it or not, fun times eh.

Ye does that happen in other colleges? :L
Anyone who repeated doesnt register until october so you could miss 2 weeks for no reason :L

Not that I know of no, in fact I think UCD actually organise their repeats the same time as their end of semester exams which would be so much handier.

You won't miss two weeks. If you pass your expected to attend classes. Registration isn't really that important a thing, I wasn't registered till like the start of November last year (a cock up that wasn't my fault thankfully).

Ye i know registration isnt important but they should still tell you to attend classes unless otherwise stated :L oh well ha

It's Blanch, they should do a lot of things but don't. Sure I've to repeat and exam I was told I didn't have to back in January, then I got the result of a NP and was told it was my own fault.

Question guys, There some people in my year that are repeating CA's, so they dont receive registration packs until the 28th Sept (if they've passed), thats fine, but they want to know if they have to pay the Bank Giro student contribution by the 9th Sept like it says in the letter we got posted out. They didnt receive any letter so does anyone know how that went last year?

You only pay when you have the registration pack. It'd be a bit unfair of the college to expect people to pay the fee without them knowing if they were successful with their repeats or not because whether they continue on or repeat the fee would be different.

The fee is different if you repeated? :S

Well depends. If you have to repeat the year you only pay an amount depending on how many modules you take.

Roughly about 30e to 50e per credit, 5 per module.
