I got a letter from social welfare asking me to come in and talk about my JSA. It doesn't really say anything else - it doesn't even tell me what I need to bring in with me. It's more like a form and they just filled out the blanks in biro, than a letter. Are these just random spot checks? Has anyone else got a letter like this? I'm worried that it isn't a spot check at all, maybe they've overpaid me and I owe them money or something? I've been on JSA since May and was on JSB before that.

    Thanks.

Did anyone get a letter like this? I am already approved for JSA and sent in all relevant information before, bank statements, partner's bank statements, his wage slip etc so can't think of why they would want to talk to me. If anyone has an idea please let me know cos I am starting to worry that they have calculated it wrong and I'm gonna get nothing afterall.

You are probably called in to talk about your job search. Have proof of activity in this area ready- copies of employers's letters, a list of steps you have undertaken to secure employment, etc.
They are checking out how people do on the jobs front.
