Next month I shall be coming off of Lexapro 10mg, when I will have completed 6 months taking them. However I want to do it as safely and as right as possible, because I heard the side-effects can be pretty bad if not done right. I have asked my GP about how to do it, but he could not give me any advice whatsoever. So I would like to know how people have done it themselves.

Your GP is happy to prescribe you drugs but can't advise you how to wean off them?

Sorry OP, we are not qualified to give medical advice but in light of the above, I would be looking for a new GP ASAP.

    All the best
