Where will I claim my Lottery millions?

I am originally from Northern Ireland, and still have my parents address there for certain legal/admin reasons. I moved to Dublin a while back to work, and am a resident (PPS number etc etc).

I play the Euromillions every week, but lets say I actually win the thing, say €65 million, where should I say I am from when claiming the money?

Is there any difference between Ireland and the UK when it comes to this, differences in lottery tax or anything like that?

    Need answer fast.

Wouldn't be too worried about it to be honest.
Just keep pissing your money up against a wall like a good little boy.

Are you one of these smug gits who honestly thinks the monetary value of €2 per week from my disposable income means anything to me?

If so, thats nice, aren't you cute. Also, have you anything to add to the question asked in the OP?

Chances are you won't be claiming.
But keep paying the stealth taxes while
you're in the "South", 'cause we need
    the extra cash.

I think as you are an ROI resident, you should say you are from there as you don't want to complicate things in the event of a claim.

Where do you buy your tickets, btw? Since Euromillions is run through each country's lottery organisation, you're probably better to buy the tickets in the same place as you are gng to claim, i.e. the south.

I doubt it matters with the euromillions, I'm pretty sure you could claim it in any country.

Probably written on back of the slip,but-
    http://www.euro-millions-review.com/euro-millions-rules/
One of the important rules to remember is that a prize can only be issued in the Country where the winning ticket was purchased. Therefore anyone who decides to enter the Euro Millions draw while on holiday is advised to check their Euro lottery numbers before commencing their trip home.

You send the Prince of Nigeria 100,000 cash moneys and he sends you the 300,000,000.

The question you should be asking is were do you put your millions. The European banks don't look all that safe at the moment.

Id say for legal and complication reasons to just stick with your permanent address.
I live abroad and registering for a car/loan/claim..etc still requires my Irish address, i cant see why this would be any different if i won the lotto.
That said though, In all honesty, if i did win? i couldn't care less if they thought i was from fcking Alaska as long as the money went to my bank account!

Because who'd be bothered flying back to the other country to collect their prize right?!

I think they've pit that because some people may think they can claim it in any country.

And you'd be pretty annoyed if you won €100 and had to go abroad to claim it.
