    Hi all,

Just saw an owl flying around near Glenageary dart station (near Dalkey/Dunlaoghaire). It landed on a wire and the flew off, flying into another wire with an audible twang of the metal wire :-O

What sort of owl lives out this way? wasn't expecting to see one at all!

    Any thoughts much appreciated.

Well in the orangey light of the streetlights I would say varying shades of dark and light brown, wasn't a barn owl for sure.

I suppose from what I have checked out it was a long or short eared owl. Didn't expect to see it anyway!
