Im a young lad and recently started having sex on a regular basis. Everythings fine, we're very careful etc, but I have a problem in that condoms dont fit properly on me. Length isnt a problem but I'm too wide for your average run of the mill durex and often it doesnt fit on and we have to give up. I haven't a clue about brands or what type for wider men or anything so if anyone can help? I'd feel a bit a bit embarrassed bringing it up in my local shop or with one of the lads (I know its stupid and I shouldn't...) I know this PI is a bit insignificant in comparison to others in this forum but any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Try Passate large, Trojan XL, Durex Avanti.

Wanting to use protection to stop an unwanted pregnancy and to protect your sexual health is never a insignificant thing.

They sell Durex XL in Boots (a few places, but I usually see them in the one in the Jervis Street Centre) but in my experience condoms vary such a lot. A box of Durex can have ones that are too tight, but also ones that fit comfortably. Often found Fetherlite to have loads of too-tight ones...

Thanks, much appreciated. Are these brands as easily available as your regular condoms yeah?

Trojan do various sizes for those who are well endowed. You can buy them online directly if you have difficulty sourcing them.

OP I had a similar issue as you and I always recommend Condomerie for these type of threads. Not only do they have one of the widest possible selection of condom types AND brands they also do excellent "test" packages with multiple different condoms of a type (i.e. 10 different brands of XL condoms with 4 condoms each allowing you to find out which brand you and your gf prefer) and have a very good list for size measures as well.

Best part? Delivery in a normal brown envelope to your door quickly and at a good price to any where in the world.

Bigger chemists will stock them as they have a larger range, it's easier to get them then it was a few years ago.

Try Durex XL, but you shouldn't need them, I've personally never understood how a stretchy latex tube can't fit over any man's penis...

It's the ring part at the base that is the problem with some brands. Its not very stretchy.

it's not that stretchy when you compare it to the soft tissue of a penis and it depends on how much it needs to stretch, obviously the more it goes that harder it is on the guy.

The larger size condoms can be tricky enough to find,if you are lucky enough to live in dublin most of the boots in the city centre[o'connel st. definitely] do them If not, ordering online might be the best option.

Also, well done for using protection and actively looking for a better option :D

If you're ordering online, you could also try lovehoney.co.uk. They have free shipping to Ireland and it's very discreet packaging. The condom prices are very reasonable compared to pharmacies/shops here.

You could try getting a few small packets of the different XL condoms and see which feel best.

+1 for small packets (no pun intended :D), till you find one that suits ,they certainly ain't cheap, being young funds may be limited or the op may not want a mysterious package being delivered to his parents home no matter how discrete the packaging.

When my gentleman friend and I first started having sex this was our exact issue. We tried the larger brands but to be honest, the difference in width is minimal (look at the information on the sides of the packets to see how little the XL's size differs from the regular durex's).

He had great success using My Size condoms (you can get them on Amazon). They come in a whole host of widths and on their website they had a measuring guide, which I found all kinds of hilarious. If you get the 36 pack, the price becomes comparable per condom to the ones you get in the chemist.

Also, if you are too young to be paying your own bills and are worried about your parents finding out what you've been charging to their credit cards, try 3V vouchers or some similar pre-paid credit card thing. Works for me.)

Wow that sounds like such an ad. Sorry! Hope that helps.
