Do yous know if there are many people traveling to NUIM from Swords every day?

Hey Paczini. I commuted from Swords back in first year (2008 / 2009) and to be honest there wasn't many of us; maybe four or five. Then again, each year is different.

The journey isn't the worst in any case; a 41 / 43 to Connolly and then a Maynooth commuter train. I just hope you're doing Arts, otherwise you might need to get used to a lot of early mornings.

And you are right, I am doing Arts
but wouldn't it be easier to take a train from Drumcondra?

It depends on the time. Although getting the train from Drumcondra is cheaper and much more handy if getting the 41, there are several direct-to-Maynooth / Sligo trains which depart from Connolly each day. Make sure to check both options and see what suits you best each day.

I'm on campus, but live in Swords on weekends, Id suggest commuting to see how it goes for the first while and then consider your options. Its not impossible, but its going to take getting used to. Maybe even start driving if you can, as it only takes half the time of getting the bus and train.
