    hi does anyone know where i can buy an old stitched cooper helmet any colour,my son is trying everywhere for 1 and cannot get it, his birthday is coming up soon so would like to surprise him.

    You can get them on Donedeal or maybe adverts.ie
    As far as I know you are not insured with the old Cooopers but you are with the new ones.

    tks rochey, i thought the issue was with face guards and not the actual helmet

    Those old coopers didn't actually have a face mask on them, they had to be put on. You will be very hard pressed to find one with the stitching, and you will pay top dollar for it. But as Rochey said, hopefully there never will be an accident, but if there was, you will not be covered by insurance.
    Buy one of the new Coopers and drop it into a Shoe maker/fixer and ask if he will be able to put the stitching on it. Thats what my brother did years ago.

    The stitching makes the helmet look way classier.

    If you care for your son at all you wont get him a new Cooper or old Cooper.... not safe. I was split twice in 2 different places, through 2 new coopers. Since switched to a Mycro.
