Mondello Mazda Starter Course

Just back from doing the Mazda 3 starter course at Mondello (Mazda only, not the one with the 1 seater included) http://www.mondello.ie/race_school/starter/

Brilliant experience that I know I'll do again.. Would recommend it to anyone.

Just wondering what sort of lap times people get in the Mazda? My best lap time was 1.12, which was my last lap(would have loved a few more) Most of the threads here seem to concentrate on best lap times in the 1 seater.

I must absolutely agree - it is a fantastic experience and I highly recommend it to everyone.

My best lap? 1:10.780, but I feel that with a bit of practice I could get it down to 1:09.000. I sucked at the last hairpin - low speed here influenced a long piece of the track...

I'll be doing this in the next few months and with the Formula Sheane for 12 laps - nice voucher I got so really looking forward to it. Good to see some times on here to see how far I'll be off the pace compared to the other start-liners!

The whole Formula Sheane 'Be a racing driver for a year' competition looks good. Who do I have to impressed to win this!? I see it's worth 15k. So, If I get hooked on racing, I could very well be looking for 15k sponsorship for next year!?

what would be the average lap time for a Mazda 3 starter course got a 106.985 just interested to know, that was my first time doing something like that was absolutely brilliant can really see myself doing that again.

Just back from the starter course. Got a 1:08.476 and the track was damp. Very happy
