What kind of hours would i be doing for my PLC ? Is it the same as school that it is set hours each day or is it like college with maybe only 2 classes one day and 5 the next ? And are all PLC colleges 4-day weeks ? Thanks for any info if you have

    Hi,

It depends what type of course you're doing really.
Some of science one's can be busy enough Monday to Friday between lectures and labs.
Others like social care can be quiet enough with about 3 to 4 hours a day 4 days a week.
So it's closer to college rather than school.
A lot of courses tend to be continuous assessment so they usually involve a good deal of essays so they can keep you busy when you don't have a class.

I suppose it varies from one to another, but where I am the days are pretty well full 9.15 to 3.30 or 4.30 for all classes.

They're usually school hours i.e. 9 to 3.30/ 4 most day of the week with the odd class off during the day. Most are fairly tight schedules though.

Only the FE/PLC college you are attending will be able to answer your question. Some that are in schools run the same type of timetable as the secondary schools, other larger colleges that run FETAC do hour long classes 9-5 Monday to Friday
