PAYG by Mb/Gb Download?

    Hi Folks,

I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a mobile broadband provider that offers PAYG by Mb/Gb Download rather than a time limit (1 week, 1 month etc). So you top up your card with 10Gb and you can use that card untill all of the bandwidth has been consumed and you then top it up again.

Basically I want to have a backup broadband connection but without the monthly contract associated with bill pay mobile broadband. I am out and about quite a bit but I am usually within range of Wifi so its just for those odd few times that I don't have access to Wifi and I'm not willing to pay a monthly premium for this.

I do have a Samsung Galaxy S that I can tether however this means I am not contactable via phone which has caused me problems in the past so tethering would be the last resort for internet access.

    Regards,

    Dave

There are no operators doing that. It wouldn't be worth their while to offer it.

They make more money in the current setup.
Three did send me an email survey about pay as you go before asking about longer times, 3 months, 6 months and some other questions.

You can just have a PAYG dongles with credit and not to buy the add on until you need it.

I think that is as good as you will get.
