Hi, I'm hoping someone can give me some advice. I've just bought an iphone4 and came home and hooked it up to my macbook (10.4.11). I'm unable to sync my iphone to it as I can't upgrade my itunes as my macbook isn't 10.5 I think. After searching around online, I think I have to buy a copy of snowleopard and upgrade my mac. Is this correct or have I got things totally wrong? Thanks in advance-I'm brutal with computer software things.

When you go to the apple up in the corner and click on about this mac, what does it say about Processor & Memory?

    Thanks for replying. It says:

Processor: 2Ghz Intel Core 2 duo

    Memory: 1 gb 667 mhz ddr2 sdram

Yeah, the iPhone 4 requires at least Mac OS X 10.5.8 and iTunes 9.2. If you do upgrade to 10.6 you might want to upgrade your RAM as well. 1GB will work with 10.6, but it isn't really enough.

great thanks for that. I've order snow leopard so hopefully it will arrive soon. Is there any particular sites that I should use to get RAM. Thanks again!

You could probably do it yourself if you're up for a challenge. :) Or just get someone else to do it if you're not confident yourself.

You should go for LION download € €22.99.

You need SL to download Lion. The OP would have to buy the Lion USB thumb drive for €60.

Yeah I was looking at that Lion software earlier but saw that I had to have the SL one first. Thanks for all the RAM sites. Think I'll wait until hubby gets back from his trip and get him to do it:) Don't think I'm confident enough to try it myself!
