    Hi
    Two questions!
Was wondering what people thought of yesterdays national league final results?(1)
When you see 4 and 5 in events in the national senior champs I think that this competition is key to raising participation levels in the sport across Ireland. I feel that this is competition Aai should promote heavily in order to encourage retention of athletes from the juvenile age groups. Agree or disagree? (2)
    Thanks

I was there yesterday, thought it was a good days competition with fantastic weather for the day.
I agree with question number two as well, its great for club development, athletes that arent normally on the podium get to have their day out and show they are of value to the club.
Its also encouraging when you see how the top athletes support their club and county, for example david mccarthy running a 200, 400 as well as competing in the long jump, hardly beneficial to his 800 training but contributed majorly to kildare county's performance.

I do think AAI should promote it heavily, in my humble opinion they could put it on before nationals as after nationlas alot of athletes are already in their end of season recovery and are possibly overworked on a heavy days competition. It would also be interesting to have a separate county and club leagues at different times of the season.

Overall I thought things were relativey well organised and the day went off smoothly.
