    1 George Orwell - 1984
That's an amazing book. Orwell foresaw so many trends, it's quite amazing - although of course a lot of it he learned from what the Soviets and other totalitarian regimes were doing in practice. And only a left-winger like Orwell could have written as devastating critique of socialism as Animal Farm.

Down and Out in Paris and London is a fascinating read too, very different from those two.

Not half as much mystery as what's in his 'mystery babylon' radio series, seriously check him out! He's the conspiracy researcher that other researchers wish they were! What a hero.

I have a tonne of awesome books on my hd, a lot of banned books etc, will get some names for you when I have a chance.

The holy blood and the holy grail is one that just popped into my head, the davinci code was a rip off of that...

Edit- may I just add that Cooper spoke a lot about socialism too, really interesting stuff as that's the direction we've been going.

You just reminded me of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco - a great novel about various CT groups like the Templars, the Rosicrucians, the Illuminati etc. etc.

Starts slowly but is really great if you continue past page 50.

Yes 1984 is an all time classic. It is recommended reading for anyone even people not into "conspiracy theories".It has so much relevance to the way the world is becoming today. Some believe that George Orwell (real name Eric Blair) was part of the shadowy fabian society in Britain which is why he had so much insight into the plan for the world as was Aldous Huxley who wrote A brave new world. If you look at the fabian societies logo its a wolf in sheeps clothing hmmmmmm...............

How could you omit Brave New World by Huxley?

David Baldacci's Camel Club series is pretty decent too.

Mirage men, about UFO's, is a class book, with a lesson or two with regard to viewing any conspiracy theory.
