Backing up from iPod to CD/DVD

Hi guys, it would be great if you could help me out with a small problem.

To start with, I know how to backup my iTunes files onto a CD or DVD. However, I have a small problem, as due to the finicky nature of the way iTunes stuff is saved, some albums on my iTunes have been lost. Backing up from the iTunes program would mean I'd be without a few albums, which would sort of defeat the purposes of backing up. And because I downloaded these albums, it would be a pain to retrieve them again. (I suppose that's karma for nicking them off the internet.)

However, these albums are still on my iPod. I was wondering then, is there some way to backup from the hard-drive that my iPod effectively is, onto a CD? I've googled all over and can't seem to find anything, so here's hoping someone on here will know.

Any tips are greatly appreciated, hope I've explained it well enough and I'm in the right place. If this is a duplicate of a previous thread, I apologise.

    Thanks!

Would this allow me to backup from my iPod to a CD? Cutting out the middle-man of iTunes?

Would this mean also that I could plug my iPod into another PC and put my stuff on it without my iPod being erased?

yeah you can use it to copy everything on the ipod to a folder without itunes, you can also copy stuff to the ipod but i don't think it works on every ipod, just have to try

Okay, I've downloaded it and I'm using it. I saw someone mention you could put the Sharepod.exe file on your iPod, then use it as a portable interface. Would you know how to do that by any chance? You've been a great help so far, thanks very much!

iPod 80GB Video I'm fairly sure. It's okay, I can look around see how it's done. There's probably a guide somewhere that'll shed a bit of light on the subject. Thanks very much for all your help!
