    Hi all,

I am looking for a 1 wk hol somewhere warm/hot. I am going with someone who likes activities to do whereas I am happy to sit and read.

If anyone can send me links to their recommendations for places to stay that has activities but also nice walks / scenery to look out on.

Don't really have a budget and would look at all-inclusive deals too.

Somewhere away from mad crowds yet would have a bit of a stir about the place. Ages are 30 - 40.

    Thank you x

I can't recommend Malta enough, I went in November last year and the temperature was mid 20s all week. I found it very reasonable for cost, they have the Euro and speak English. I'm not a beach person, but I believe there are very few sandy beaches, however most decent hotels have swimming pools.

There's a serious amount of historical sites to explore, and some of the best scuba diving in the med, but I spent the week chilling so can't give you any more pointers on that front!

    Ryanair have direct flights ex-Dublin.

Can you tell me where you stayed?

I stayed at the Palace Hotel in Sliema. Might be a bit pricey, I paid €85 a night but it is a very nice hotel.

I'm sure you'd find cheaper options if required.

Sliema is north of the capital Valetta about a mile across a harbour from the northern side of Valetta. You can walk from Sliema along the seafront to St Julians where you'll find plenty of nightlife.

    That's part of the walk.

Quick correction, Paceville is the place for nightlife but that is just beside St Julian anyway.
