    Hi there

Looking for advice from the wealth of knowledge on here :)
If you look at the pics it might help the questions
Ok so I have the stove (new),
    have the flue (second hand).
Know where I want to install it.
    Need a hearth
I have never done anything like this before so any help appreciated.

Can I go single flue up to roof then double wall through roof and up to eaves?
How far left can I move the stove as I have to brace the flue when it goes through the roof to the wall?
What's the cheapest way to protect the dry wall from the heat?
I am going to attempt this with my brother so any other pitfalls I need to watch out for?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Regards
    V4

Can anyone estimate what sort of money it would cost for the install.

Also does anybody know of a stove fitter to give me an estimate that would come to celbridge?

    Thanks

    Hi,
Check out miflues.ie. They have downloadable brochures. Your flue (normally 6" can be single liner from the stove to the ceiling but must be attached to an adaptor which increases the diameter to suit the 8" twin liner and fire stop at the ceiling and any where else it passes through. Your single liner must be at least 3 x diameter(18") from combustibles such as dry lined walls. Visit the site for more details and diagrams. A good plumber should be able to insall, including flashing. Also check out stovefit.ie for installation.

Thanks for that joeblob, great info there.
Do you or anybody know where I would get an hearth on the cheap around Dublin / Kildare? Nothing on donedeal etc.

    Thanks

I'm in waterford myself so wouldn't know to many in that line in that area. I had to go to a local fireplace/stove dealer who made a custom hearth for me.The cheapest way would be diy with concrete and tile over with porcelain tiles. I would have went this way myself but time was against me.
