50c on Luas ticket machines

    Anyone else notice that luas ticket machines have begun to reject 50c coins quite often in recent times? Is there a reason for this?

    Perhaps its a faulty eye on the validator or even a faulty batch. How many particular machines have you tried?

    Ive noticed it on lots of machines. AT Abbey Street, Jervis, Museum. The machines rarely accept the 50c coins so I'm actually surprised now when they do accept the 50c coin....

    I've noticed this too. It's very annoying especially if you don't have much change or there's a tram coming. A machine once swallowed €2 on me!

    Indeed; when you have only have enough change and a €20 note and the machine doesnt accept your change, it is very frustrating....
