Can JSA be collected on a saturday?

    Hi all,

    Very simple question, I'm living in a very remote area and haven't been able to get down to the post office as i've had no car. Got it back today though so my cabin fever is over! Question is will I be able to collect my dole in the morning? I could just wait until monday but I'd be afraid that it would be gone, my collection day is a tuesday so thats outside the 3 days that I've seen mentioned so many places. I know the post office is open until 12 or something tomorrow so for peace of mind I'd like to do it then. Does anyone know if this is alright?

    No probs :)

    My local post office holds it for five working days, are you sure yours is three?

    Since your PO is open on Saturday morning, it'll be there for you

    maybe it will be there but some post offices send them back after 3 days if not collected.

    Only way to know is try tommorow.

    So different post offices have different time limits?

    That sounds strange, I thought it'd be the same everywhere, definitely five in our local but the OP has seen three in different places

    thanks guys appreciate the really quick replies! Not sure how many days it holds it for but a quick google search and 3 days keeps popping up which gave me a bit of a fright! Its open until 1 tomorrow so I'll get in first thing and see for sure. I'd better ask to how long they keep it handy thing to know!
