Commercial vehicle with limited company

Hi I have my own limited company and am looking to buy a commercial vehicle,if I buy a secondhand van from a private individual , I know I can't claim the vat. But what type of receipt do I need to prove I spend x amount of business money on the van ?

One which shows who you paid the money to, what the payment was for, the date it was paid, and your name as having paid it.

the date will tally with the date on "change of ownership", I presume.

You will have additional proof through your bank statement/credit card statement/ online payment record.
When I say "your" I mean the limited company of course.
