USB Port at back of Saorview Walker box - Can I record programs on it?

Ok, like the title says - Is it possible to record saorview programs on to a usb stick from having it inserted in the USB Port at the rear of the box? Or what is it for? Sorry, if it's a dumb question - :o

if it's a wp12dtb-r (r) is for recording I presume) then it will do this. Can also be used for software updates.
