Ebay through PayPal

I'm not sure whether this is the best Forum – however!

I have a PayPal account and I have an Ebay account – both new. Getting help from either site is like! Well it's just not there.

I do not have a credit card but do have a Maestro Laser (Debit) Card.

I have successfully used the PayPal account to send invoices.

I now want to sell a textbook and some other books on Ebay and am registered there.

I can get as far as filling in the details of a book and it comes to the part where I pay the €11 selling fees I am directed to PayPal. The only immediate option there is to use a credit card though not my debit card.

I can see that there is a facility to pay Ebay seller fees from my PayPal balance and to do this I have to link my PayPal account to Ebay.

When I try to do this the Ebay site says that I cannot do so as I do not have an Ebay account even though I am logged into my account and it's addressing me by the registered name.

There is no solution in the FAQs and am getting no email responses. Has anybody else been there?

You can transfer funds from a bank account to a Paypal one; I've done this twice with AIB online banking, it takes 2-3 days to get there.
