    Hi all,
I have read a lot of the other posts but am still a little confused. Last year I did a plc in IT and did well. This year I hope to go on and do an hons degree and have been accepted into LIT Clonmel campus.Today in the sw office I was told that i would be granted the btea again this year. I want to know about the 2000 reg fee and who pays it.
I have read on this forum that as a btea recipient it does not apply and I have also read that i should apply to the local council/VEC..
Also does the student contribution get paid by the same group or is this seperate?
    I am confused!!
Thanks for any help in advance..

the registration fee of €2000 has to be paid.

    you can either

    1> pay it yourself
2> apply to your local county council/vec for a maintanance grant (fee's only grant) to cover the charge of the fee. (this is what BTEA applicants do)

same as myself in clonmel so. my advice, get your application in asap. there are huge numbers applying. the staff in clonmel office are VERY helpful if you decide not to apply online.

the vec office is located next to lidl on the same side as lidl when heading into town from the hospital. there is an architect's office or something of that nature in there too.
