I need to replace the cylinder head on my opel astra.

    Its a 2002 petrol 1.4 Eco-tec engine in it.

Would anyone know where I could get one of these 2nd hand off an old engine or the likes?

    Thanks,

Traynors is probably the best source of parts.

Try a breakers, such as higgins in Kilcock Co.Kildare, usually have lots of stock in there.

A whole engine would probably be as cheap & as handy I reckon, cant imagine them being wholly expensive either.

    Ive had 2 astras - a 95 & a 99, have to say they're a great car,

very under-rated in my experience of them.

The guy was looking for a cylinder head and I have 1 for sale on another site what is wrong with tha
I'm only trying to help him out and sell my engine part
as buying a cylinder head on its own is hard to find. A second hand whole engine would hav to be bought from a scrappy and the head taking off and then skimmed and what ever else has to be done to it. I'm not a car breaker.
I just have the piece because I needed it for my car and there was other problems with the car that would hav cost me more than the car was worth so I never rebuilt the engine.

Any way can you tell me wat I've done wrong here?
