    Hey,
I'm looking at building a pc for mainly general use, learning basic programming (so linux compatibility is a must) and some gaming (mainly Total War games) but the main reason I'm doing this is to learn how to build as I am clueless at the moment.
I have a budget of 700e but if there is a good reason for going over it I don't mind too much.
I already have a monitor, mouse and keyboard.
I was thinking of partitioning the hard drive and installing linux on one side and windows on the other.
Also I think I will go with an AMD processor as I've heard it's better for upgrading later on.

All help/advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance
