    Hi all,

    I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I'm travelling to France in a few weeks and I'm going to have to do a fair bit of work while I'm over there. :(! I'm going to need fairly frequent access to the internet - no downloading in particular, but just for general research and referencing purposes.

    I was wondering, what's the cheapest way I can ensure that I have internet access in France. I'm with O2 so should I go to them, or would I be better off getting some sort of dongle thing while I'm over there? I really have no clue!!

    get a local sim and a french payg data plan
    Vodafone ireland currently have free data roaming in europe but only untill aug 31

    €30 for the dongle

    I think it's about €1 for 4 hours, €6 for 12 hours or just €6 for 24 hours but with reduced speed over the 24h hour period.

    In most Paris hotels WiFi is free, and there are many free hotspots. The net in the McDonalds is also free, although you might need to sip on a coke.
