Normally the photos are of the car with the ticket on it?

I'd say your safe then. They obviously weren't doing their job correctly and I'd doubt they want it highlighted.

this very recently happened to me, but with ParkRite.

i was approaching my car parked in an area that i was sure wasn't pay and display but as it turns out, it was. the inspector was half way through processing my ticket and as i walked up to my car he told me that if the owner of the car returns before they have fully processed the ticket then their procedure is just to cancel it to avoid confrontations with angry owners! i was delighted

hopefully you find yourself in a similar situation.

In such a case and to show unity toward your fellow wrong do'er parkers we should all approach a car when it's being written up so.

I know its a bit off topic but why do you call the parking ticket guy a pr1ck?

He's only doing his job, yeah its a job that doesn't make people happy etc but its not like he is doing something to you for personal reasons.

    very harsh imo

because I drive my truck round all day using loading bays as theyre meant to be used , I could understand ticketing private cars that are not supposed to be there but im aware its only supposed to be 30 minutes, you cant always be exactley on time though , trying to ticket me at 33 minutes obviously means the lad was having a bit of a poach trying to get a few fines in that morning , Its like saying 'sure the nazis were only doing their jobs rounding up jews' it may be their job but it takes a certain lack of common decency and a power trip to be a parking warden, if the loading bay was full or there was somebody else waiting to get in id understand but there was space for 2 more vans at a quiet time of the morning and it is a commercial vehicle.

They normally take a photo and return 30 minutes later and take another if your still there, for a goods vehicle. Photos are timestamped and you'll get a ticket left under the wiper. You'd have to be very unlucky to get done for 33 minutes. As others have said, no ticket means your ok. Last one I got off them was for €40.

Anything other than a goods vehicle will get a ticket straight away.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

this particular loading bay seems to be on permanent watch, got fined the 40 euro for 45 minutes before

Where is it? Last one I got from APCOA was in Dundrum around the corner from the Tesco service station.

best just to call them and get it over with. give your car reg and see if it's on system... worst case scenario it is and you then just appeal it.. they have to give you at least 31 mins. but he would've had to come across your truck the minute you left it for him to give you all that time... was he just waiting behind a nearby bush?? ;)

Don't you have to be actively loading / unloading? My understanding is that if they see no activity of loading or unloading - then you are parked. And they will photograph the vehicle and return again in a few mins and issue a ticket if they vehicle is not actively unloading / loading.

AFAIK they can issue a ticket to a commercial vehicle that is simply unattended (parked) in a loading bay. Regardless if its been there for 5 mins or 25 mins. Simply put - if you ain't dragging boxes out of it - or puttin' them in - you can get ticketed. :(

May seem harsh - but it's to prevent people parking for 30 mins while supping coffee with their pal inside while a genuine delivery is awaiting the vehicle to vacate the bay.

^^^ seems perfectly reasonable to me, they are loading bays not 30 mins free parking bays for lads with commercials.

The regulations state there must be active loading and unloading. So just parking up for 30 mins is not allowed.
