Have to agree that fixtures are falling kindly at the minute. That said....

If we do them 2 more favours we are right back in the hunt.

Would be delighted with 2, 3 or 4 Points.

Our game with UCD is away...and tomorrow.

Hopefully a return to winning ways. Referees not giving ridiculous penalties against us would be a nice change also.

Is is just me or are the bookies underestimating Drogheda at 9/1? Pats are on woeful form atm, whereas Drogs have won two and drawn one in their last 3.

Btw c'mon Salthill, Waterford and Mervue!:D

Think I'm going to head along to the Mervue match tonight. I haven't been to Fahy's Field since it became a LOI ground.

Best add RTE to that interminable list of big smoke entities conspiring against you so.

Joke. Will fix now. My mistake.

Yet another draw for Dundalk. That's four draws in the last five games. Any slight chance we had of catching Pats are surely gone now.

Terrible result for Limerick. In the Premier, Derry will be giving both Rovers some battle for the title this year.

    Scully for the sack?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,056 ✭✭✭applehunter

Thank feck we held on tonight.

Very soft red card and the early pen. in the 2nd half made it a long night.

Limerick drawing with that Salthill side is just criminal. 1/20 before kick off. Not complaining though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,950 ✭✭✭Pinturicchio

    Derry for the title.

Always felt Derry were going to be the nearest serious challengers since before the season started, should Rovers beat Galway and Bray that will really isolate those two up top from the pretenders..

Big pressure on Rovers to get GD on Rovers' side, 4 goals in it at the minute..I'll settle for three points firstly..

    Limerick:eek:

Didn't touch it, just thought it was over priced myself, that put me in my place anyway!
    Terrible result for Limerick.

In the long run probably not, another Limerick franchise gone by the end of the season. A club signing Premier Division players, paying Premier Division wages and paying fees for players and they can't even beat Salthill.:D
    Derry for the title.

They're into 3/1 now, 30/1 or thereabouts at the start iirc.

Goal chalked off for seemingly nothing minutes before Derry got there's, fell apart after that.

Payback for the generous penalty last week I suppose.

Handy win for us, played fairly well.

    StPatsvDroghedaAug19th201175.jpg

Monday is a massive game for us now. Cant see us catching sligo but would like to get closer to them. Then all above us have to come to richmond.

    That was some game!

On first viewing the third Rovers goal didn't look over the line. Gilmore and Finn's goals were great.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 27,252 ✭✭✭✭stovelid

One of those games where the ball just wouldn't go in at times. Three points in the bag and one game in hand down. Can't complain.

Our away form is so much better than our home, so I reckon we've a decent chance of taking all 3 tonight.

Was some debate over it alright, but this is conclusive.

Well Dundalk's 4th draw on the trot has effectively ruled us out of the race for Europe and with the rumours of Derry being banned for 3 years a 0-0 draw would be a good result for both teams as 5th will likely be good enough for Europe should one one of the top five win the cup

League rules any european place made available tru shenagigans automatically goes to Pats.

    sorry

Would be hilarious if Derry pipped Rovers to the title and we got into the Champions League. :)

The UEFA penalty for places made available through shenanigans is a sentence of hard labour in the eastern wilderness, that's why that rule is there.

So Pats can fulfill it for the rest of us..

Great result for Bohs last night given that they were down to 9 at one stage. :pac:

Saw this on Twitter this morning. Made me smile:
We may have only had 9 men, but they had the spirit of 1,000 lizards!

Bohs passed Pat's off the pitch last night.
I've seen Pat's a bit recently and it's long ball, this, long ball that - and while it works sometimes, the basic fact is they constantly give the ball back to the opposition.
I also don't know why Mahon starts Bradley instead of McFaul. McFaul is a far better player - better awareness, bigger and stronger, more skillful and his passes actually reach members of his own team.
Maybe Pat's missed North - but he's no loss imo - moany and unfit.
That 4-5-1 works well up the channels with crosses into the box - the 2nd goal against the Shaktar Karagandy is a case in point, but it's too defensive.
Killian Brennan was annoying but superb.
