    Hi Folks

Has anyone attended this course in previous years? If so what should I expect? has anyone signed up this year?

The head start Maths is good. I did it last year and still have all the paperwork they give you. Its designed for ppl who havent done leaving cert style maths in a few years. I found it helpful but still had to work really hard understanding Business Maths as i'm not mathematically minded.

Each day is divided into two separate classes and they go thru a lot of stuff but the paperwork they give you is a work book so they go thru it at everyone's pace and no one is left behind.

Thanks JemimaPD, I'm worried about Business Maths but it is just one semester....although I presume it's to give you a grounding for understanding economic graphs and equations etc.

    Thanks again for you reply.

I've signed up for this, I'm doing Multimedia, not sure if this is going to help but no harm to do it anyway:)

If anyone feels in anyway iffy about maths and it is on your course then I would strongly recommend taking this option. I know a couple of students who ended up changing their degree because they couldnt cope with the maths after the first month or so.

it starts out at a very basic level, fractions etc. i didnt go the second day so have no idea what went on then. i couldnt see it being much of a helpful if you are picking an engineering course for instance. but i suppose its a good refresher of the basics.
