just got a pair of glasses for the first time in years....been using daily contacts before this. doctor told me it would take some getting used to and it is making me a little dizzy. also is it normal for when i look at the sides for it to kind of be "fisheye" in that it seems kind of distorted?? only the center seems to be totally straight but there definitely seems to be some kind of distortion near the rim of the glasses? I should also note that I think I have hi index lenses and this probably has something to do with it??? is it normal, and does this effect fade away or does it not and I will eventually get used to it? please help thanks.

How long did you stop wearing contact lenses before you had your eyetest?

were your contact lenses soft or rgp lenses? do you have a high prescription and much astigmatism (cyl)?
