It's no problem to do this, just make sure you use good quality cable & an amplifier to compensate for the signal losses in this long cable.

    Will the cable be buried?

yes i plan on haveing it buried part of the way, closest to the house, id say there will be about 10 yards of it buried. is it better buried or not.where abouts does the amp need to be, on the aerial pole or in the house, also could you recommend good cable and an amp.thanks

No problem burying the cable, just don't let it get waterlogged.

The masthead amplifier consists of the amplifier itself, which is best placed about 1 metre from the aerial & the power supply which feeds dc power through the coax cable. The power supply can be fitted at the house end unless the cable is really long, say approaching 200 metres, hardly likely here.

For every 100 metres, decent cable will lose in the region of 20 dB of signal at the highest tv frequencies, so you should specify your amplifier to at least allow for this.

Yep, if you have it in a pipe/conduit, make sure it can't fill up with water & permanently submerge the cable as ordinary cable usually eventually lets water in.
