Hi Andrew- I travel to northern Wisconsin every year for gun season to hunt whitetail bucks. Its one of the best hunts Ive been on to date. Ive an invite to hunt red deer in Scotland in exchange for a sika hunt here in Wicklow so Ill be planning that for next year. Ive a good friend who is a sporting/hunting consultant. He organises hunts worldwide.WWW.SPORTING-TRADER.COM. Worth a look

You wont beat Scotland IMHO.. Been going for the last 6 years and will continue to do so for as long as I can. Was in Africa in June and it was great but not as impressive as red deer stalking in the highlands!

Heading to Scotland myself in November, 2 days after roe in Galloway then up to sutherland for 3 days after reds :) Friend of mine is a head stalker up there on a 60,000 acre estate so give him a hand hind culling :)

I was in western France last month and went for a walk in woodland and came across what looks like a commercial wild boar hunting area, lots of well made stands and baffles to guide the piggies. Nearly tripped over a live one too, not sure which of us got the biggest start!

I don't know whether this was a club or a tourist shoot, but the infrastructure looked very good!

I don't think that would be for everyone.

Thats a rough average of 8 birds a min over aprox an 8 hour day every day, How could you even reload that quick, I know when I shoot a few clays the barrel gets hot never mind aprox 4000 shots a day.

Go for a driven boar hunt in Eastern Europe.Poland,Hungary and Croatia are the most popular destinations.

The sight of a sounder of boar running through the forest is awesome, even better if you can get a shot.

Rifle or semiauto shotgun are the tools for the job.

Figure on 1200-1300 euro all in for a 2 day trip[3 nights away]

we had a loader boy behind you reloading as i shoot and cold drinks supplied to you all day and massive amount of padding on your shoulder alright the most i managed in one day was 5020 birds and the record is with steve marsden in northern ireland 12600 birds in one day and still stands to this day
