Could someone with a Macbook Pro do me a favour?

I'm looking for people to see what the battery draw is according to Coconut Battery is when just running a browser with 2 tabs open. I'm getting 19.5 Watts at the moment and circa 3 hours battery life.

All the better if it's a 2010 Macbook.

Not quite, it has to be running on battery power to show how much power is being drained.

mines June 2009 model

currently at 14.2 watts get 4/5 hrs browsing out of it these days.

2 tabs in chrome (but also itunes open but not playing and mail open)

3 hours with wifi always on, browser always open and a few other things with screen on full sounds about right to me.

13 watts on 2010 13inch macbook pro with 2 tabs safari open and colloquy open.

Showing 11.4 watt with battery power.

approx 5/6 hours battery.

I'm between 19 and 25 Watts with most things turned off. Must experiment and find out what's eating the power.

Is it normal for the battery max capacity to be at 87% after 9 months and 81 loadcycles? seems to be a bit poor imo

Don't take that number seriously unless you've calibrated the battery recently. If you don't know how to do this google it, the instructions are on the Apple website.

I read a post by a chap here saying that you can't/don't need to calibrate unibody Macbook batteries?

What brightness is your screen set to btw?

I'll post mine for you but the battery life on 2011 Macbook Pros is insane, although now *as* insane post Lion install!!

Theres no guarantee someone elses batteries will have the same characteristics as yours depending on how they have been used I would have thought ?

That is true but I wanted to see whether my problem was a power consumption one or a battery one. If I was getting less time on battery power but was consuming the same power as everyone else then it's a problem with my battery. Now that I know people use less power than I do I know the problem lies elsewhere.
