Looking to buy my girlfriend a pair of Christian louboutin

    Hi,

Think this is probably the best place to start this thread!!:D

Looking to buy my wife a pair of Christian louboutin, I'm big into my gadgets and have no problem spending €500+ on a gadget that i want and will use, also my wife has also bought me expensive gadgets before for birthdays and xmas. Same goes with my wife, she loves shoes and has always wanted a pair of CL.

Problem is, I'm not really sure where to look! I was thinking the obvious places like BT and Harvey Nicholes, but i was wondering if anyone know where i could get a pair apart from BT or HN? Is there a legitimate website where i can get them?

I remember her saying she likes these,

http://www.louboutinshoesofficial.com/christian-louboutin-very-prive-platform-pump-black-p-378.html (Christian Louboutin Very Prive Platform Pump Black with red toe)

I know that these are expensive, but she deserves it, i am getting them for our anniversary coming up.

Any feedback or suggestions would be great.

    Thanks again,
    BobbyT28

Hee hee AWWW sweet :) Great present by the way. Maybe you should tell her so she can pick the exact pair she wants at least then you'd know she 100% happy, especially when you are paying so much for them?

Thanks.:) Yeah i know what you mean, see the thing is i normally ask her what she wants and she picks it out and i buy it. So i wanted to get this myself.

I don't think she will have a clue im getting these for her, so hopefully she will be delighted.:D

I might just get them in BT or UK site and if theres a problem with them or she doesn't like them, she can exchange them for a different pair. I take that they do exchanges in BT for higher end stuff? or is that a stupid question?

Ah thats perfect. Thanks very much for your help.

Just emailing CL boutique in BT to see if they have the shoes in stock. Not hopeful!!

I love those black peep toes. :)

Bring her into BT or Harvey Nichols and try on a few pairs. I have a pair of CL and had to go up a size due to the height of the heel. The sizes are French so are different to 'standard' shoes sizes.

AFAIK the only places you will get genuine CL is netaporter.com or theoutnet.com or you could take your chances with customs and buy a pair from one of the high end dept stores in the US.

Thanks a million for the info, gonna wait for BT to email me back. Kinda want to get these for a suprise, so don't really mind if she has to bring them back for a bigger size.:D

    Thanks again.

Am I only one thinking you're mad buying these yourself. Are you sure you know what specific ones she wants, even ignoring the size issue. I'd say take a hit on the surprise part of the present and let her pick her own ones.

No, I'd be iffy about buying anyone shoes without them trying them on first. Different brands have different fits, and anyone can be in between sizes. It'd be a shame if the OP bought her a pair and then discovered that that size is too small and the next too big. Sorry to be a downer!

Yeah i know what you mean. I think im just gonna go with BT, they replied to my email today, they are out of the very prive black (Red Toe) but she is checking the London stock. So fingers crossed. If i do manage to get them, if they are the wrong size then she can just bring them back. No big deal. I'm sure she'll see something else :D:D:D. Thanks again for the reply.

Yeah she wants the very prive black (red Toe).:D No think I'm gonna go with the surprise, like i said in an earlier post, i never really do the surprise thing. So want to this time round.

    Thanks for the reply.

The girl in BT today said that they are out of the very prive black (Red Toe) but she is checking the London stock.

She said that they have that shoe in the patent and nude style. What do people think of that style compared to the very prive black (red toe)?

    Bobby,

Ive done this before with my OH, Same deal as you id spend an arm and a leg on car parts etc and she would buy me carbon fibre bits and stuff so I wanted to do the same.

I researched the places on line etc etc and in the end I just came home and said one day: Come on we are going to Dundrum to get you a pair of Louboutins.

Theres one thing about suprising her, but women get far more enjoyment out of the whole experience. Plus Im glad i brought her along as when she tried on her usual size it wasnt quite right, there is half sizes and in between sizes and the girl in Harvey Nicks sorted her out.( To the best of my knowledge only BT are seeling them now.)

There is a shoe repair place that do a redsole protector specially for them by the Barge Pub in Dublin.

By the way your in for massive brownie points.. the missus was smiling for days after ha ha

The Patent Black is a timeless look according to my missus so she picked those. But shes being eyeing up the Nude ones now that she has the black.

The nude ones are lovely and very on trend but I would go with the black as they are a more classic, timeless style. Especially if she has already said she likes that colour.

She will love them and you will get major brownie points ;)

If they don't have the Prive ones, you can't go wrong with a classic black pump like these ones.

That sole protector is the job, the lady who sold them to us pulled the card out of her bag and gave it to us, it was the same one she used. Ive been in there a few times getting them re-heeled for her and there does be lots of women handing them in to get it done.

Yep, she wears them out a lot and bar getting the little heel thing replaced a few times they are like new. They have some red bag thing that she puts them in and puts them back in the box after.. they get treated better than me ha ha.

I think I paid about 400 quid. She was dead set on a 100 heel i think its called but when she tried them on in the shop and walked about she went for a slightly lower one. To be fair they are the only shoes she wears and never complains about sore feet. They have some little sponge in the bottom.

Being from a construction background where i examine buildings etc in minute detail I was looking at the shoes and you can see where the money goes, there was a good bit of thought put into the design of them.

Like the lady said above, everytime she puts them on i get a smile and a kiss. Worth it in the end.

Lot of my mates thought i was mad spending that much on shoes for my OH, but we've no kids or money worries so why not.

Thanks for that. Yeah same here, sometimes i think she looks after her shoes better than me!!:D:D

From listening to the feedback everyone has given, i have defo set my heart on getting her CL's. €400 isn't too bad, i though they were about €600+ (which I'd imagine some of them are)!

Thanks again Cronin j. will let you know how i get on.

They're lovely but I'd recommend the Rolando as they have a hidden platform that makes them a tad more comfortable! :)

Bobby, I have to say I absolutely love that you want to surprise her with a pair of CLs, but as somebody said, if that was me I would love the experience of going into the CL room in Brown Thomas and getting to try them on etc - I'd feel so fab!!!
Why don't you take her there, by surprise? Ask her to go shopping with you, and say you "need to pick something up for your sister" - then bring her up to the Louboutin room and say, surprise, pick one! It would be lovely!

This is an old thread - it was started in August ... however if others are looking to do as the same as the OP, do not buy her a pair of CLs unless she has tried them on first. CL sizing is all over the place. Different styles that CL makes have completely different sizes. You might be a 40 in a Very Prive, a 39 in Lady Peep, a 40.5 in Rolando, a 41 in Daffodil, the sizes are not consistent at all.

If you do decide to buy her a pair without her trying them on in the store, and she is trying them at home, be EXTREMELY careful with the soles. The red sole marks SO easily. Only try them on carpet, do not attempt to try them on on a hard surface as the red will scuff and the store will not accept them as a return, so you will be stuck with them. I cannot stress the importance of this. Once she wears them once on a hard surface, the red will come right off, it's very upsetting at first!!! I nearly cried when I looked at the sole after I first wore my VPs (Very Prive). My pair are actually the ones your gf wants - VP in black patent. I'd go with the black over the nude to be honest - black is more classic. The nude can be her second pair.
