Leaking toilet

I have one of those dual flush toilet cisterns. It has been leaking since day one in the cistern overflow thing. The flushing/filling mechanisim is a siamp monaco. The ballcock (square one) on the screw that adjusts fill level is useless as the water just keeps rising until it reaches the overflow pipe and dribbles into toilet so I have constant running water.

Would it be some sort of seal or valve, where would this seal or valve be?
    Any other suggestions?

    its wreckin my head now

If the sipohone is not stuck in the middle. Then its most likely dirt in the inlet valve. You can clean them however i find for the 10-20 euro you are better off buying a new low pressure one.

ps on rare occasions it could be the water inlet height was set too high but this is very hard to tell without seeing a couple of photo;s

Cheers for that Joey, i think you could have been right about dirt or something in inlet valve. I unscrewed the inlet valve ( i found out what that was on you tube) off, cleaned the little rubber seal/ring in it and tightened it on again. it seems to have stopped leaking and cistern fills to level of ballcock. Hopefully it stays like that.

    Nice one
