I would imagine it would work alright.

    IT looks like other Vestels.

Only concern is the clock might be an hour out during Summer Time, like some receivers do?
No USB either. Mind you, can't expect much for circa 13eur

    I assume Makro is a trade-only place?

Yes, will work fine. It will also work with "Freeview HD" ie DVB-T2 when it comes on in NI end of next year. Both in the same menu.

Nice Find. It is a serious bargain. They are made by Vestel - a similar chassis to the Saorview chassis. Buy a few before for yourself before they are gone.

@byte: they are walk in wholesalers in the UK similar to Musgraves.

Makes a mockery of what Walker have being demanding. Thankfully the proliferation of the Teracom approved Vestel T8010/T8300s under various supermarket brand names including Akura/Finlux/Laurus and Bush will have sorted this. Tesco's need to cop themselves on selling their Laurus for €89 because Walker have priced their at €99, although Argos sell the Bush @ €50. All the same software and box that will get the same OTA upgrades should they be required.

The true unit cost of these has been shown by mystics post.

Does this have a scart socket? I wonder why it says HDMI x2.

Still looks like a great bargain.

Seems impossibly low priced ..... a HDMI cable is about €5 I guess, which makes the receiver about €10 ..... WOW!

Just shows how much were getting ripped off if they can sell them at that price and the mark up on them.

Saw this on HotUKDeals yesterday but I don't know if anyone was actually able to find one. I know Makro in Belfast had a policy of using eye-catching deals which turned out to have very limited stock, so I don't think this price will be sustainable just yet.

All the same, it is an indication of where prices of these vestel boxes are going in the UK and £20 to £30 deals are now quite common.

Wonder if Lidl will have them in stock at some stage ?

Don't you heed a trade card to buy from Makro as it's a wholesale store ?
