newbie, how to log into ul email?!

    Hi all

    I'm starting a postgrad this september. I completed the online enrolment on Monday and got an email explaining how to change my password for my UL email and how to log in.
    I'm having problems logging in though and I'm wondering if maybe I'm missing something simple here?

    I have an application number and the email from postgrad admissions says that's my username for my email and to log in at outlook.com but when I try this it keeps telling me I need a proper email format but even trying different variations between this number and my name @ ul.ie etc. I can't log in!

    Any help??

    UPDATE: Apologies just worked it out so never mind!
