    Hey guys,

would anyone be able to give me a rough estimation of how much petrol would cost to get from Sligo town to Tuam co. Galway?

    Kind Regards!

Care to give us any help to calculate for you- what kinda car do you drive, engine size, etc? How many (if any) passengers will you have?

Sligo to Tuam is about 70 miles. Assuming you drive normally and average fuel consumption your car will do about 40 mpg or 9 miles per litre. That's about 8 litres. Assume E1.50 per litre then average 12 euro. Unless I need to go back to school.

I'd say that's about right, cost us €30ish to drive Sligo to Galway and around the city a bit the other day.

Edit - also if your filling up - the cheapest petrol was in the texaco station (the one with the supermacs) in Ballindine.
