Mustang / Camaro needed for wedding in Galway - where to ask

    Hi lads,

would you know where can I ask for a muscle vintage car (Mustang '67, '68, ... / Camaro) for a Wedding in Galway to rent for half / full day?

It's ok if it's with chauffeur (preferibly not - the lad driving has > 5 years NCB and is a very responsible guy, can of course leave a deposit).

    Thanks!

I don't know of anywhere in Ireland that rents old Muscle cars & whilst I am in a muscle car club... you'd be hard pushed to have one loaned to ya & most insurance policies won't cover the car if it's rented out... & as MK2 says... no one is responsible enough for me to let drive my Challenger... although if you'd been in Dublin I'd probably have been up to the chauffeur bit for the laugh

There are a few muscle car clubs in Ireland (sadly the AMCI one seems to be offline for now) I'd suggest posting on their sites to hit the correct audience

Your best bet would be to find a muscle car owner club in galway and ask them he one of them will be willing to drive the wedding couple. ;)

To be honest I doubt you would get an owner to rent you the car if it does not drive it. Classic car are the pride of the owner generally, so chances are they would not be comfortable by somebody else driving it, except if you know them well enough.

In case you have not think about it, if you have a couple of miles to do for the wedding. You should have a plan B in case the car broke down on the wedding day, you never know it might happen.

Also plan a bled or cover for the back seat, the last thing you want is to have stain on the bride dress. ;)

I've seen this car at shows - I think the chap that owns it lives down Sligo / Roscommon direction.

A genuine Shelby Mustang GT350 you say, not a clone? And you are happy to do weddings in it?

Do you have it long or go to any shows - I don't remember seeing it before. There's not many genuine Shelby's in this country, only one I know of is a GT350H.

You wont fit much in the back of a 65 mustang, particularly a fastback.
    Not an ideal wedding car.
And what happened to your front number plate;)

I am looking for a Mustang for our wedding as well but we are in Monaghan. Would either of you guys mind coming over this direction for a day next April? Or do you know of anyone with a muscle car over this direction?
