My Whirlpool washing machine is spinning but not fast enough ... Anyone know a good technician for a diagnosis ?

    Thanks - Valerie

Most washing machines have a filter near the bottom. This should be cleaned fairly regularly or the machine won't spin properly. My machine was nearly jumping out the door and the clothes still soaking wet at the end of the cycle. I cleaned out this filter and it was fine again. May not be the issue with your machine. Worth checking out before you spend good money on a guy to do the same thing.

Your welcome. Saved you a few quid. Just as a matter of interest how old is the machine? You should clean the filter once a month or so. If it gets blocked up it can put a bit of pressure on the machine and other things could go pop. They don't build them like they used to!

The machine is about 11 years old. It's a washer/dryer but I never use the dryer functionality as it's not as good as my standalone dryer.
Delighted to have postponed a 'doctor's' visit thanks to you ... *goes to throw a wash on* :D
