What would you wear with this yellow dress??

Hi,

Just purchased this bright yellow dress on sale (€60.50 down to €24) in River Island.

I'm a size 14-16, with dark hair and features.

I don't like my legs at all, would feel so uncomfortable with bare legs, would black tights look bumble bee like!!??

I wanted to add bright colour earrings, bag, ring that kinda thing.

Was thinking turquoise? Pink?

What would you wear with it???

I wouldn't wear black tights with it, if you don't like bare legs couldn't you just go for skin-coloured/slightly tanned tights instead?

Somehow it seems black tights are in fashion and I see girl wearing them everywhere, even to summer weddings. However, I tend to think black tights are for autumn and winter - but that's just my opinion

As far as accessories go, I would've had white stuff with it. Like a pearl necklace, sort of 50's inspired. But if you'd like to add colour I think turquoise is a good choice, just like you mentioned, or possibly red.

Don't overdo it though, keep to 3 things or so. The more the colour of your accessories "pop" the fewer items you should have with it

I think black tights could look a bit costumey with it, bumblebee is a good way of putting it! I agree with Lady Chuckles on sticking to either white/pearl, or maybe turquoise or red. I think pink with yellow can look a bit childish.

Instead of plain black tights try some patterned black tights with heeled ankle boots - something like

Then pair it up with a small black cardi and then some brighter accessories in the colours you mentioned, a skinny red belt - red beads?

WOW I love it!!! I would pair it with a pair of black stilettoes and a black purse just to ensure the yellow stands out!

Well if you were going bare legged or with skin colour tights, I would have suggested Emerald Green shoes.

I don't know if green tights would work though, might be a bit odd looking.

Just about any bright colour shoes or accessories will look nice with it such as red, royal blue, green etc.
Figuring out what colour tights to wear though is a bit tougher because as already mentioned black might look a bit like a bumble bee, and something like red tights might take away the focus of the dress or else look like ronald mcdonald. I think black and yellow is nice sometimes though, like in these pics I found:

Navy tights, with a navy hair accessory or clutch might be nice.

Grey tights could work too.

It depends how you want to wear it. If it was a glamorous type of look, I would go bare legged, with very dainty little accessories.

If you like that thing though where you wear a very feminine dress, but "toughen up" the look by adding a few layers , you could just add a leather cropped jacket like the one in the picture I posted, or add boots instead of regular heels.

Really depends what style you like.
