Best places to advertise a job...?

    Hi all

I just posted a job in the job advert 'sticky' at the top of this thread but I'm also looking for advice about where else to post it. I know there are plenty of websites that charge €100, €200, €300 etc for an advert but, given that the job is initially short term with potential for long term involvement (as our budget for next year hasn't been ratified yet), I can't really spend thousands on putting the job everywhere.

Any suggestions for low-cost (or no cost!) but potentially effective locations to advertise a technical / software development position, would be appreciated.

    Regards
    Ron

    Hey,
I think this site http://technicaljobs.ie/ is free.

Also you could use the hashtag #jobfairy on twitter as well.

LinkedIn can be good for sourcing, especially within the right group. Lots of ways to get the message out there! Best of luck with it.

I agree with Karl, Linkedin is good both for approaching individuals and for posting in groups. There's also an option to buy an ad with them - I used it once and all of the CVs I got where from people in India who had never been to Ireland and had no permits to work in the EU, so I wouldn't use that again.
