    1. For those of you who've been to a wedding in Lough Rynn, did you find that the location of the bar in the function room meant that the crowd was split between both during the dancing?

    2. Was the food good?

    3. Was there anything, good or bad, which stood out for you?

    Thanks.

I played there a couple of times recently, they opened the dividers between the function room and the bar and it wasnt too bad. I normally hate playing rooms where this is the case as you could have U2 playing inside and people still stay at the bar but it wasn't too bad in lough rynn but we had to work hard to get people in for any crowd events we had on during the night...

they had fish and chips for evening food which was quite nice for a change from the usual hotel evening rubber sausages and sandwiches overflowing with mayonaise as whatever chef is on thinks everyone likes mayonaise .

Thanks for that info Clint Silver. Were you located in front of the window?
If so, do you think it might have been any better if you had been located on the far wall beside the window?
What is the name of your band?

I was at a wedding there last march and I found the place to be super! There wasn't really a divide, it was like any wedding where people stay around the bar and seats away from the dancefloor.

    food was fab.

location of the function room is great, all the crowd stays together as can be far away from rooms etc. we stayed in a house on the grounds as there was a large group of us. Houses were lovely and very reasonable. Smoking area also is nice, well lit and just off the bar. also the residents bar is downstairs in a cellar! Its very nice, just watch the stairs!! We could make as much noise and sing as much as we wanted, the noise didnt travel.

Its a lovely venue, we would have booked our wedding there if it wasnt so far from my home church :(

I giged here at the weekend and thought it was an excellent room. The afters food looked very good and they let music go on till 2.30! They also opened the dividers between the bar and there was no issue with the dancefloor/main room not being busy.
