Google it with the store name, it will bring up questions- especially from the website glassdoor.com where people describe their interviews. Usually stuff along the lines of why do you want to work for X/why should we hire you/ why are you the best candidate/ how important is customer service/what do you think this job will entail/what qualities will you bring to this position/ describe good customer service/ give a time you received good/bad customer service/ describe a time you went above and beyond for a customer/ what would you do if a customer was screaming in your face?

Make sure you know about the key fashion trends right now aswell. Be prepared to possibly have to put together an outfit from their range & explain what you have chosen & why, sell it to them etc etc

Apart from that you will probably get the usual customer service & situational questions as already pointed out. What makes this store better than it's competitors? Why do you want to work for THEM?
And please please please know about the company... I cannot believe the number of people I have interviewed (retail) who come in without any knowledge whatsoever about the company, even for a small part time post there is simply no excuse!!

I've heard from a few people that work in fashion stores and people that have had interviews and usually you can be asked to demonstrate your knowledge of fashion, be it picking out clothes and that sort of stuff. Best way to prepare for that is for instance if you have an interview with H & M in the Ilac is just pop into H & M over near stephens green approach a member of staff and ask them to pick a set of clothes to make and outfit, take note of what they pick out and then just use that in your interview if asked. That would work in most places I'd imagine and will make the interview a lot easier.

No interviewer in Ireland will ask you to pick out Outfits, that's a Myth. I think it happened once in River Island.

You will need to be Up-beat, and seem enthusiastic.
Talk about how important good customer service is.
If they ask how you can help customers, then talk about how you can add to sales by offering alternatives, and add on accessories to purchases.

Talk about how your interested in fashion, and have good product knowledge.

and then research the companies website, if i knew what shop you were apllying for, I could help you alot more,

Iv'e worked at River Island, Brown Thomas and Topman.
