    So, ive always been one of those types of people who would rather not just hand over some money to an organisation in the belief that said money is helping to feed some 3rd world child, rather than doing that I have volunteered some of my time working in shops and generally helping out my own community in a significant albeit small way.

    Straight now to the point of this thread.....why, in this day and age with so much poverty in our own backyard, are we still donating HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF EUROS every year to some corrupt government in some backward over populated country just for them to use the money to buy military weapons while their own people still starve?
