bookkeeping fee

    can any advise me how much a bookkeeper would charge to complete a set basic acccounts for a year? It is bank reconciliation of accounts for 12 twelve months with at most 10 transactions a month. :)

    Hi MJ5

    A few questions.

    1) What sort of business is it.
    2) Is it a limited company or a sole trader. If a limited company are the annual returns up to date with the CRO.
    3) How are the books and records maintained.
    4) What sort of turnover is involved.
    5) Presumably you wil also need an income tax return, if so is there any other income.

    Whats the software package used?

    I cant imagine it being more than €250 if its just 12 small bank recs. Might be bit more if you want sales, purchases, petty cash etc all posted with aged debtor and creditor schedules.

    I do a good bit of bookkeeping in my spare time as i enjoy it.

    But as dbran it all depends what is required - whether you solely want a quote for bookkeeping and then have an accountant check and sign off on their work.
