Hi guys, I am new at this so excuse my ignorance. I applied for the dole for first time and I was told I was entitled to Jobseeker's Benefit, of which i got my first payment yesterday. I might have found casual temporary work, meaning, for a period of a month I will be called to do a few hours here and there, my question is, am I entitled to the same benefits as people who worked full time and who's week has been reduced by the employer? (Casual work dockets) I am terribly afraid to loose entitlements over a few possible hours here and there. Does anyone know?

If you're entitled to JB then thats what you'll get. However, if you are working on an irregular basis, you need to inform the office of this and you'll get the casual work dockets (the X and O weekly ones) and then as long as you put down what days you've worked, you'll get the JB rate on the days you don't
