Absolutely class.. To be that stupidly arrogant twice in the space of the last 100 metres, he got what he deserved!

After watching the 1980 1500 Olympic final only Coe broke 39 seconds for the last 300 metres. They came through in 2.05 running roughly 61, 64 and then a guy went to the front and they came through 1200 in 2.59xx roughly a 55-56 second 400 for the main group. I know these guys ran great times but I could see 8+ guys in London next year run 35-36 seconds off that pace.

Kiprop, Kiplagat, Kaki, Willis, Wheating, Lagat if he wanted to run 1500, Olmedo and many others. Given that Coe ran 1.41 a 35-36 second last 300 should have been achievable especially as there was one week recovery from the 800.

Any reasons for this ie wind etc
