NCT booked for 26th of this month

    Hi all... Car is booked into arklow for 26th of this month for test.. but my insurance company wont issue disc and cert till its tested... i need to get a test asap so does anyone know if i go down at 8am will they take it in? I heard that alot of people cancel their 8am apps and if i be there at that time usually they can accomadate? Any one else done that?

    The car failed on a few visuals and emissions but all was sorted and its not ready for test again.. i let it go past the 28 day re test due to funds etc so i know a full test is needed..

    If you really want it that badly you should ring the booking line and ask for a cancellation. As it's a full retest I'd imagine they won't do it for you if you just show up without a booking.

    TBH if my insurance company was being that akward I'd take my business elsewhere.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

    You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

    Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.

    I know what you mean.. il buzz them first thing tomorrow.. they might have something for the next day or two...

    I pay my insurance monthly and im not prepared to cancel a policy, loose a years no claims and fork out another deposit for another company..

    Sounded like you're renewing, so you wouldn't lose any NCB. You also should have a 14 day 'cooling off' period.

    Nope... i have about 3 months left on policy.. changed cars and transfered policy to this one..

    Go online, keep trying, and you'll probably get a cancellation for tomorrow.
