Different tyre size front and rear vs NCT.

I've got NCT booked soon. Front tyres are already worn, and there's a big chance that they will fail, as in some spots there might be less than 1.6mm.
I've already ordered 2 tyres for it from eiretyres.com but now it looks like they won't arrive on time before NCT.
What I can do now, is borrow a set of wheels from another car (the same make and model) for NCT but unfortunately it has bit different size tyres. Mine is 185/60R14. Other is 175/65R14. Rims are the same.

The question is will it go through the test, with such setup (175/65 on the front and 185/60 rear)?

doesnt matter its not he best to do if the car isnt designed for it but my fronts are different to the backs i have 245/40/19 on front and 275/35/19 on back as standard so do hundreds of cars , wont make any difference as long as they are E marked and have the minimum thread depth required

I'm aware that some cars are designed to have different tyre size front and back.
But mine definitely isn't one of them.
Originally it had 175/65 but I decided to put 185/60 (that's the size also allowed by manufacturer).
The only concern is if it's going to pass with different tyres while not designed for it.

For NCT you can have different size tyres on different axles on 2wd cars but you cant have different size tyres on the same axle !

SpannerMonkey and Darsad are right; you shouldn't have a problem.

If your car is 4wd, you could do damage. On a 2wd you'll be fine.

    Thanks for answer.
It's a 2wd so should be no problem.
